Why HappiGreens

Finding truly plant-based shouldn't be this difficult.

Today's consumers and businesses face endless labels — plant-based, bio-based, vegan, eco-friendly and recycled — but very little clarity about what those claims actually mean.

HappiGreens was created to remove that confusion by bringing together verified products, innovative materials and trusted manufacturers in one place, making conscious choices easier to discover and easier to trust.

Because choosing better should feel exciting — not overwhelming.

About the Founder

The world didn't need another sustainable brand. It needed a better way to discover plant-based innovation.

Vidya Vijayaraghavan didn't set out to build a marketplace.

As an environmental lawyer and sustainability strategist, she spent years helping businesses navigate environmental responsibility and future-ready growth. Yet one question kept coming back:

"Where do we actually find genuine plant-based alternatives we can trust?"

The deeper she explored, the more surprising the answer became.

Across the world, remarkable innovators were developing plant-based leathers, textiles, biomaterials, packaging and everyday products. Manufacturers had already solved many of the technical challenges. Yet most remained invisible — difficult to discover, disconnected from buyers and lacking a platform that brought the ecosystem together.

What started as research for a single client gradually became something much bigger. Vidya realised the world didn't need another sustainable brand. It needed a trusted ecosystem connecting innovation, manufacturing and conscious businesses under one roof.

That insight became HappiGreens — a global platform where pioneering plant-based materials, products and manufacturers become easier to discover, easier to trust and easier to adopt, accelerating the transition towards the next generation of plant-based innovation.
